DIY Bindi Jewelry in 5 minutes! inspired by The Tribal Way

DIY Bindi Jewelry inspired by The Tribal Way

Do you like bindis?

I love any jewelry that sits on my forehead! Very mystical, and enchanting.

I recently found this cool blog called the Tribal Way by Chella and Tiffany, and Chella’s DIY bindi totally inspired me to make my own! It’s an easy, 5 minute project. So let’s get started!

To make your own bindi jewelry, you need:

DIY Bindi Jewelry Material

White glue – I used mod podge here, since I had a sparkly one 😀 You can find sparkly mod podge here (affiliate).

Rhinestones and any other small decoration bits – I’m using Recollections rhinestones and other stones I already had for nail art decoration. You can find similar ones on Amazon here and here (affiliate).

Flat plastic surface to work on – this can be plastic file folders or lid of a plastic container. Something flexible is useful, since it makes it easier to peel off the finished bindis.

Toothpicks

First, using a toothpick, make a rough shape of the bindi you want to make with glue on a plastic surface. You don’t need a lot of glue here.

If you are unsure of bindi designs, google it and you’ll get tons of ideas.  😉

Then place your decorations however way you like, using tips of toothpicks. You can take a tiny bit of glue on the tip to pick up little stones with it, or for larger stones, you can make this DIY rhinestone picker with a toothpick and a small piece of adhesive putty.

And might as well, make a few more, since it’s so easy…And let it dry overnight.

And that’s it! How awesome is that! If there is too much glue, you can trim it with scissors once the glue is dry. You can apply it to your forehead with a little eyelash glue on the back.

Chella also used fabric paint in place of the glue, which is a really cool idea, as it gives nice colours to the base.

Hope you liked this DIY project! Be sure to check out Chella and Tiffany’s blog at thetribalway.blogspot.com.
