3D belly dance belts and costumes are extremely popular these days! My Instagram feed is full of three-dimensional flowers and swirly appliques on belly dance outfits!
But what do they use as the base? How do those appliques keep their shapes?
Once I tested a bunch of base materials and combinations and figured out the pattern, it was quite straightforward, and I’m really excited to share with you what I created!
So today I’ll show you how I made my 3D belly dance belt in a time-lapse video!
Click here to learn how to make this belt!
The base belt was made using the exact instructions in my Swirly Belt & Appliques course, but those 3D appliques are made with different materials. It was necessary because the Swirly Belt base was way too thick to create intricate three-dimensional appliques with.
If you want to make these 3D flower and butterfly appliques and the belt in the video, you can find the pattern and tutorial for the belt and all these appliques in my upgraded Swirly Belt & Appliques course!
Join the course here & let’s make YOUR own Swirly Belts!
(You can get the course for a special price until Sunday, September 22, 2024 ;))
I’m really excited about this bonus addition, because using the same technique, you’ll be able to design and craft your own 3D appliques and decorate your own belly dance costumes with them. You can elevate your costume decoration to a whole new level!!
Thanks for reading, and keep sparkling!
